How shall I represent the voice of this site in it's first blog post? I think I’ll go with genuine. I’m not going to waste time being anything other than real. I may have some rough edges and we may have our differences in the world and on social media, but when we come here – WE REST.
I’m sure by now we’ve all read the memes “My desire to be well-informed is currently at odds with my desire to remain sane” right? With all the division and ugliness taking place in America, I don’t think there is a truer statement. It doesn’t matter which side you’re on.
I believe it’s imperative we actively look for good in the world throughout our day, wherever we can find it, even when we're not feeling it (especially then). Don't be too picky, just latch onto as much as you can.
Let’s become “Curators of Good.” The more we gather, the higher we’ll vibe!
What’s Good?
These are things I’m going to pay particular attention to, and every day I’ll share what I’ve come up with on one platform or another.
· My family & friends.
· Anything that makes me smile and gives me warm fuzzies.
· Anything that makes me laugh, the harder the better.
· Faith, hope, love.
· Charity. Seeing others help others.
· Art expression.
· Sunrises and sunsets.
· An inspiring movie, poem, article, book, story.
· My home.
· My bed/sleep (sleep is an issue for me).
· My backyard oasis.
· My garden.
· Videos of animals and babies.
· Things I see and the way I feel when I hike.
· Things that pop up in memories on Facebook are usually funny or heartwarming in some way.
Kinda looks like a gratitude list, right? BECAUSE IT IS. Gratitude helps keep us sane. So, let’s write that shit down and document it when we see it, feel it, experience it. Capture photos, videos, audio and share it with others, because other people may not have had the good fortune to see all the cool stuff you have!

I need to be honest, I’ve struggled to maintain a positive attitude lately and today was definitely one of those days. But I know if I make it a habit to look for the good - the more good I will see!
I got my first blog posted on this site! That’s good! I made myself a roasted chicken dinner and it was delicious! That’s good too! Now I’m going to get ready for bed. I love my comfy bed (good). I’m going to meditate to some music while I’m snuggling in (also good).
· I live in a home that is perfect for me with really great landlords.
· I’m in good health.
· I have an awesome family.
· I work for a great company.
· I am intelligent and creative.
· I am not alone. I am safe and I am loved.
